A minimal-data website by design.
This static website is designed to collect as little information as practical while still allowing prospective clients, editors and institutional contacts to reach BlackGuard.
1. Information you choose to send
If you email BlackGuard, the information in your message is received through the applicable email service and may be retained as part of business correspondence. The Request an Analysis form transmits the fields you submit through BlackGuard's Namecheap-hosted website to a server-side mail handler, which sends the inquiry to info@blackguardgovernance.space. The redesigned site does not intentionally place inquiry contents into a website database.
2. Do not submit confidential records through the website
The initial inquiry process is not a secure evidence portal. Do not send privileged, highly confidential, regulated or sensitive institutional records unless BlackGuard has established an appropriate controlled intake process for an accepted matter.
3. Technical logs
The web-hosting provider may process standard server logs such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, date/time and security-related events. Those practices are governed in part by the hosting provider's infrastructure and policies.
4. Analytics and advertising
This launch build does not include advertising trackers, third-party analytics scripts or marketing cookies. Basic technical traffic information may still appear in hosting/server logs. If client-side analytics, consent tools or other tracking technologies are enabled later, this notice will need to be updated before those technologies are activated.
5. External services
Links to LinkedIn, ORCID, Zenodo/DOI, Substack, Patreon, media outlets and other external services take you to third-party websites with their own privacy practices.
6. Business records
Inquiry and engagement records may be retained as reasonably necessary for business administration, conflict checking, legal obligations, accounting, contract management, IP protection and dispute prevention.
7. Research firewall
Commercial client information does not automatically become academic research data or publication material. Separate authorization and any applicable legal, ethical, privacy or institutional controls are required for research reuse.
